CCAT Shapes New UK Anti-Slavery Laws

Here is little Croydon making a significant contribution to communication on a huge piece of national legislation made by the Chair of the UK All Party Parliamentary Group Against Human Trafficking Fiona Mactaggart MP.

CCAT has been actively involved in the development of the Government Bill on Modern Human trafficking.  These new Laws, once completed, will come into force to protect the nation against trafficking and slavery.

In particular, CCAT’s work on how to “Spot the Signs” of human trafficking have helped to influence a dynamic new television campaign shedding light on the victims of this hidden crime.

Watch the video in full, featuring interviews with Fiona Mactaggart, MP, Peter Cox, Chair of CCAT, and several of our members making a difference.

A new telephone line, 0800 0121 700 has also been set-up for people to call anonymously with any information they may have on human trafficking.  Remember, be vigilant, and if you suspect trafficking in your area, report it.
