UK MODERN SLAVERY HELP LINE – OFFICIAL LAUNCH
In December 2015, Polaris, the then UK Home Secretary Theresa May, and Google.org announced a plan to launch an enhanced UK Modern Slavery Helpline and Polaris issued a request for proposals from UK non-governmental organisations (NGOs) interested in operating it. Polaris is a global anti-human trafficking organisation based in Washington, DC that operates the National Human Trafficking Resource Center (NHTRC) hotline for the United States.
The UK Modern Slavery Helpline and Resource Centre operated by Unseen was officially launched at the end of 2016. The Help Line can provide victims, the public, statutory agencies and businesses access to information and support on a 24/7 basis.

In the short term, the new Helpline will retain the existing trial Helpline number which is included in the CCAT Spot the Signs leaflet
08000 121 700.
In the medium term, the intention is to move to an easily remembered and internationally recognisable 3-digit or 4-digit helpline number. This means anyone will be able to call, regardless of where they are in the world.
