VACANCY FOR VOLUNTEER IN CCAT OFFICE

CCAT’s long-serving office co-ordinator, Steve, is shortly due to retire, so CCAT urgently require replacement support in their Croydon office as detailed below:

Office Co-ordinator

CCAT is looking for a volunteer to keep CCAT running while we seek funding for a full-time position. The successful applicant will be organised and self-motivated. He/she should have some understanding of human trafficking and be passionate about working in the charity sector. Responsibilities will include updating our supporter database, answering email enquiries keeping our website up-to-date and arranging management meetings. He/she should be IT literate, with some experience of working in an office and able to work independently. You will have the opportunity to get involved with public events and campaign roles.

Job Description

  • Oversee the administrative element of CCAT

  • Have good IT skills and confident using Outlook, Office and Internet

  • Handle incoming phone calls and written correspondence, providing prompt responses and forwarding to appropriate staff member where necessary

  • Perform general admin duties including photocopying and mailing

  • Handle requests for information and data and follow up with appropriate staff member

  • Help schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments

  • Manage office supply inventories and coordinate maintenance of office equipment

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of job descriptions and evaluations

This is a good opportunity for someone wishing to gain experience in the charity sector and the opportunity to attend networking events, conferences and get involved with our campaign work to end modern slavery. The volunteer will be provided with a reference and reasonable expenses (Travel within zone 1-6 and up to £3.50 for lunch)
