Croydon Community Against Trafficking (CCAT) is a small Croydon-based charity which is committed to the fight against modern slavery and human trafficking. We are six trustees and some volunteers only; we do not employ any staff.

We are currently assessing the feasibility of a multi-stakeholder project which aims to make the London Borough of Croydon a Slavery Free Borough. This is a significant operation and is currently at the initial conceptual stage.

We are looking for a pro-active and social applicant who will be able to work independently to garner community support for this project amongst public bodies, private enterprises, charities, faith groups, etc. The successful applicant would be required to build, maintain, and manage relationships with each of the various stakeholders that they will bring into the project. This would involve a lot of communication (in person, by email, and over the phone); facilitating introductions between stakeholders; coordinating stakeholders and encouraging them to accept tasks and take the initiative; and reporting progress back to the CCAT trustees.

Required skills and experience:

  • Communication skills
  • Networking ability
  • Ability to coordinate various stakeholders
  • Problem solving skills
  • An understanding of how to win friends and influence people
  • An ability to assess the relative value of potential stakeholders to the project
  • Basic office skills (document writing, email)
  • Access to a computer, the internet, and a mobile telephone

Other details:

  • Reasonable travel expenses can be covered
  • No pension contributions and no tax or national insurance deductions will be made by CCAT

Please send CVs and covering letters to theccat@protonmail.com.
